Tiki Summer

THis year I wanted to try growing some banana trees for the tropical feel and some privacy by our deck... SO I orderd 4 plants in FEb...well they arrived and I had MONTHS to keep them protected and hopefully get a head start on their growing.... Many sunny days I carried them from the house to the she shed to get sun..so then my bright idea was.. TIKI theme...I think the  cute water fountain started the them.. . off to the lumbar store to get   2 tall round posts, and hope it didn;t cost an arm and a leg, they did... but I also had to order Tiki masks from Amazon... they arrived and I knew the colors were not going to be bright enough..so I repainted them..after the posts were painted  huns used the nail gun and  attached the tiki masks...  Also wanted  new chaise and chair cushions...and some wicker rockers for the porch..oh..how about an egg swing in wicker too.. yes please...  AND then as soon as the spring rains stopped...we  got to work.. I painted all the porches and decks in my favorite haint blue...we also power washed the house to make it shine,  devided some grasses to have more plantings..  A new fish shaped chiminea.... We also took the white lattice off the top of the pergola..it had been up since 2008 and would no longer power wash clean..we bought to blue sail cloths and really like the shade.  We really have enjoyed the freshen upped  decks and porches.  We also wanted more lighting..so we put solar lights every where ... on trees, porches,  decks..  everywhere..You can see my Lil Pink SHe SHed all lit up, she's just steps away from the house... The banana trees did very well.. I forgot to take a picture of how tall they got...BUT they  almost got as tall as the tiki poles..I hope they do well next year......  Take a peek !!!

She Shed goes back to Beachy...bye bye BO Ho !

I had to try Boho look on my Lil Pink She shed.. and it lasted  2 years, but then I needed my bright colors back... Bo Ho was fun.. and I am glad I tried it.. so .... off to the fabric store for some  fabric to re drape the ceiling..the buttery color was too gold tone, and I like a bright citrus vibe.. the pale green they had was perfect..and for $1.50 a yard... I bought the whole bolt.. LOve that outlet store. Took down all the umbrellas from India, the ceiling fabric..ohhh so many staples.. Glad I saved the beachy bedding...  I had a couple pastel paper umbrellas that i decoupaged..and they hide the screen vents in the summer.. IN the winter there are some insert we use to  protect the shed more..and I painted them.  I also gave her entire outside a fresh coat of pink an  white trim.. I also bought a  bunch of  cement stepping stones to do some mosaics on..some I will just leave painted pink.... Hubby will remove all that white gravel.. it looked good in 2017 when it was fresh..but rain and dirt and yuk... he will have to level the area a little..or a lot.. but that is a spring project.. I hope to get the rest of the pavers done before we leave for Florida in Feb. I better get busy for sure..  SO do you agree... beachy is better than BoHo????
