Kitchen Re-do...again

I have been debating painting my kitchen cabinets white for a couple years..When we built the house we put in these natural maple with dark stain trim..Since we have lived in the house since 2007,  I have changed the paint colors and many other changes..appliances, counter tops..paints in all rooms.. I do change it up a lot..SO I painted my fridge and dishwasher blue with a french country look...what I really wanted was a pink fridge..because we were at LuLus in Gulf Shores Alabama,(Jimmy Buffetts sisters restaurant. and she had an out door kitchen where they did cooking shows.. and her stuff was PINK.. I wanted that so so bad..they were Viking brand..l. then a year or so later..I SPY with my Little PINK eye...Big Chill and Smegg brands.. PINTEREST.. u are killing me..ohh pink..and IN LOVE... Hubby said  we can order them any time you want.. I debated..then said OH yea.. so its been at least 9 month..and I finally decided to paint the cabinets..and get the Fridge.. I also planned to get the pink dishwasher.. The day he was ordering them, right be fore he placed the order .. I said WAIT.. I really think I want just the fridge..and to do the other wall in all black appliances.. we have two under counter microwaves.. mistake.. but when we built the lake house we thought we would have a lot of company and need them... one tends to be a bread box.. .. sheshhh..also we originally had slide in glass top stove, the dang microwave hung so low I couldn't see the buttons on the back... so  a couple years later we ordered a new slide in stove, with button on the front..and a new microwave thinking it would be better..nope.. hated it.. hated !! it was like the microwave was ON my head..so.. another year goes by..and Hubby starts talking about induction cook top.. I was thinking crap.. just another glass top cook top.. so I thought on it for months..and finally after reading about it I was ready... we ordered it.. took out all the square tile granite we had put in our self when we built the house. ( we did all the house our selves inside. except laying carpet.  Ordered solid surface granite, and double oven that we put where the slide in stove was..  and made a mini island for the cook top..just had to bring the cabinet out further to make a bigger counter top space.. SO that gets done.. I didn't do a back splash then ...since I didn't know what I wanted..Instead I put up some anaglypta paper and painted it..it was champagne gold..then bermuda blue,  finally I saw the tile I loved.. so that tile was added last fall I think..we also put hand scraped  bamboo down on top of the marble floors we had laid our selves..but it was so cold and hard on our feet.. love the bamboo.. we still have the marble in the living room and front entry.. but we have to keep rugs on it in winter its so cold.  AND the induction cook top is heaven.. I have only boiled over  3 things.. The glass cook top I did it almost every time I cooked.. I will never own anything but induction again.. yes you have to have all special cook wear..but so worth it..You can actually cook, say fry chicken, and you don't want grease splatters, you put paper towels between your pan and the cook top..and it WILL NOT catch fire.. Because induction is magnets...so once the burner is off..it is just barely warm to the touch..
I used my same door hardware..sprayed it black and used copper rub in buff..
We removed the huge microwave, added this little one..and honestly..
we usually heat soup, or a little leftover plate, or melt butter..  I don't cook in it at all.. so it is nice..It doesn't hover over my head.. I can actually use that part of the counter top now...New Bosch dishwasher, and of course my Big Chill Pink Lemonade fridge with ice maker...I know I wont miss the ice, crushed ice and water out the door of my side by side.. I was never told you needed to clean that water spigot and one day I looked up in there where the water comes out..OMG..it was disgusting.. since mine was white you could see the black gunk.. I'm thinking is that MOLD?? we have 2 filters on the water... I sprayed bleach up there and scrubbed with a toothbrush..and got is as good as I could..but I rarely drank water from that again.. I used bottled water..if you have a black or stainless fridge you wont be able to see it.. ..but take a paper towel and dig around up there and see what you find.. so I am thinking simpler is better sometimes.. I do have under counter lights, and lights above the cabinet.
The white made all the difference in the world to me. I painted the cook top cabinet pale pink.. hated it.. painted it white.. I painted inside the glass cabinet door hot pink..since we originally had a window there, but covered over it because I thought I would be staring at a blue garage all the time.. we closed it in, and added a glass cabinet..later.. I changed my mind.. so we cut open the hole and then cut the back of the cabinet out..so we had the window view again... and I really like it.. so much more light in the kitchen..  Then.. I wanted to show off my PINK Lemonade fridge even more..so Hubby added color changing LEd strips behind it. I can mix colors to make them a certain color..and change it up or let them change themselves.... What a great nite light it makes in my kitchen.. There are a few changes of wall decor . I painted the  cream colored shutters in Key Lime, added some "decor" to the top of the  chalk board, the little bike with umbrellas in the basket, the ceramic bird tassel on the corner of the chalkboard I got at MacKensie Childs when we went to New York and Canada last year... and love my "No Prob-LLama sign, I like to move stuff around in my kitchen also.
The pink metal reproduction mail box, I added the OMG letters above the BREAD... cuz Bread..!! Yum,...  so lucky my husband likes my quirky style and he likes color too..he helps bring my crazy ideas to life. !

Faux Chandie

I saw a lady hang her vintage Christmas ornaments over her sink area for the Holidays... It was so glorious.. I could NOT stop thinking about it...SO that night I looked on line and found a few small blown glass items.. very inexpensive made in Turkey.. the next day I went on a hunt..I hit Hobby Lobby, Walmart, Dillards, T.jMAx.. and came home with a pretty good start.. I already had the flying pig, Goldfish, and Cobalt blue drop was hand made from a friend....I took small eye hooks or you culd use cup hooks. and sprayed them white so they would blend in with the ceiling better..I used fishing line to hang them..Over the past year...  look for pretties whenever I shop..and last Jan. I got a BUNCH on clearance at Tuesday Mornings, , and they were from Egypt... at 70% off.. I loaded my cart with as many different ones as I could score..I found the Murano glass flower at Homegoods, along with some other great ones this fall at BeallsFlorida..Notice the hot pink martini glass I attached a hanger with E6000 and hung it upside down... It makes me happy to see them sparkle above our little dining area.. The are easy to dust using a 2 1/2 inch paint brush... I am searching again since it is time to find the Holiday decor out in the stores..
