Pink Please !

I have been wanting MORE pink in my life.. and since I had soo much lovely blue, it was time to try PINK. Oh I tried fuchsia .. the test patch was hideous.. so I waited for a  couple months for my brain to forget that sad OOPS>. yes , I do have OOPs moments.. but they are  fixable.. it is only paint..and I had only tried a test area.. but I did repaint it back to the blue while I waited to try a pastel paint. SO back from the beach and was ready to  roll with the pastel.. The pink flamingo  lounge is ready for spring. Some of my wall decor I repainted  lime green for a pop of color... and added some  velvet curtains.. I am not 100% happy with the color.. but in the spring and late fall the sun sets just in the spot that blinds us.. so it was worth a try.. I know of a great fabric store  I will seek out some fabric if I decide these can not stay.. but I will give them a chance.. I plan to get the two tan chairs recovered in something vibrant and beachy. something with some lime green, pink ?? Not sure  yet.. but they will be colorful ! We use these chairs a lot to sit and look at the lake during weather when we are inside.. The are the most comfy chairs we have ever sat in.. and holding up well, the color is just so boring.  I also included the before picture when it was blue.. I know I can always go back to the blue if I decide... only takes three days to paint and put all the stuff back on the walls.!  So think pink and blue thoughts..and happy SPRING !

Cozy couch time!

I was ready for a new couch.. ours was perfectly fine..but sooo brown and boring..We orderd a lovely chofa  (chaise/sofa)  in a cerulean blue. They said it would take 16 weeks.. Only took 7 ! I just felt it would be nice to snuggle up and watch movies like we did when we had our last sectional... A bright new rug. Everything else  has just kind of happened the past few years.. I did find this whale of a deal on the MOby whale over the window when we were in Florida last month.. It was raw wood, and I painted it and then sanded down thru the paint. I am now offici

ally out of wall space..He ended up over a window.. But the room is cozy, in  front of the  big t.v. I LOVE a large t.v ..   I am worse than a man, when it comes to a huge t.v.. IF  I had room... it would be larger than 72 inches!  Due to the permanent placing of the t.v and its wires and cables in the wall.. the sofa had one area it could go.. and its ok.. the mantel is just for looks, we removed the free standing stove after the first year we put it in.. we hated it.. soo a little electric fireplace  built into the  cabinet under the t.v works  perfectly.   I did have to move my huge pot of  bird of paradise indoors for winter..so it's a little cramped  over by the juke box... soon it gets to go outside..  Till next time....  !
